The Power Of A Praying Parent
Oakland's small group for Mothers will be starting back up on Wednesday,
September 10. This year, they plan to complete Stormie Omartian's
- The Power of a Praying Parent. If you are free Wednesday
mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 and would like to participate in this study,
please contact Kristen Mack at 266-7024 so that she can order a book and
study guide for you. Small children are welcome. Babysitting
may be available.

Study of Ephesians
Pastor Randy will begin a study on the Book of Ephesians on
Wednesday Evening, September 10th at 6:30 pm. In the book of
Ephesians, God reveals His eternal purpose to establish and complete
His Body, the Church and Bride of Christ. Using the Bible as
your textbook, you will discover the truth of who we are in Christ,
the life God expects us to live in Christ, and the way God has
equipped us to live as Christians. In eight weeks, we will
survey and dig deeply into God's Word. This study intends to
inform new believers and deeply challenge mature Christians.

Second
Sunday Lunch Bunch
Come one, come all to Oakland's newest small group. . the Second Sunday Lunch Bunch!
This group will meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month beginning in
January after the 2nd
service (approx. 12:30 pm) for LUNCH at a local restaurant. Sign-ups should take
place on the week before to get a rough idea for a count. This is
a great way to fellowship and visitors are also welcome to meet some of
the OUMC friendly faces in a casual atmosphere. The kick-off for this
group was held November 9th at Hoss's in Richland and over forty people
had a great time of fellowship (along with a great lunch!) Sign-up
sheets will be in each narthex or for additional information,
