group was held November 9th at Hoss's in Richland and over forty people
had a great time of fellowship (along with a great lunch!) Sign-up

Praying Moms
The Praying Mom's Small Group resumes on January 12th. This
spring, their small group will be studying "Boundaries with Kids".
They will meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. at
the church and will start on Tuesday, January 12th. This study was
written for parents of children of all ages, from infancy to the teen
years. However, it will also benefit you if you are a teacher,
grandparent, coach, neighbor, day-care worker, babysitter or church
worker. The Study Description is as follows: Help your kids
take responsibility for their own actions and emotions - and bring order
to an out-of-control household! In this 8 session program, Drs.
Henry Cloud and John Townsend take you and your small group through the
ins and outs of establishing loving limits and instilling character in
your children - ones that will help them lead balanced, productive, and
fulfilling adult lives. If you are available on Tuesday mornings,
we encourage you to join this group. Babysitting is provided!

Disciple
Bible Study Group
Beginning in September, Pastor Art
Moffat will teach DISCIPLE Bible Study Groups on Sunday, Monday,
Wednesday
evenings and Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Evening times will be scheduled
to suit each group. You may sign up for Disciple Bible Study
during the month of August. What is Disciple? Disciple takes
you through the bible - all the way - and you do it with others.
We hold each other accountable. Disciple has nothing to do with
how much or how little you know about the Bible. The focus of
Disciple is to make each week's reading apply to your life, particularly
the present & future. Disciple is to challenge you and to
grow you. Disciple is designed to help the group members grow
together. We eventually find ourselves (as a group) on the same
page, in one mind and in one accord (Acts 2:46). A longer term
small group builds a lasting fellowship and a bond with the others in
the group. We learn not only to pray for each other but with each
other. "to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building
up the body of Christ." - Ephesians 4:12 Disciple is 30 weeks.
It is a commitment. A discipline experience. There will be
three Disciple # 1 groups offered this fall. They will begin in
mid-September. The groups will be held on Tuesday afternoon at
1:00 pm and Sunday & Monday evenings. Each group will be limited
to ten persons. Six to ten people have been shown to be the most
successful numbers for a small group. Each teaching session will
be two hours long, with a half-time somewhere in the middle.
During the last session of Disciple we will identify each person's
spiritual gifts. The cost for the Disciple book is $34. (Financial
aid is available). "The house churches) dedicated themselves to
the Apostles' teaching, to fellowship with each other, to daily breaking
bread together, and to prayer with each other." - Acts 2:42
Disciple is the # 1 Bible Study used in America. Why? It is
Holy Spirit inspired - from its development to its teaching. Do
you want more of God? Through Disciple men and women are
strengthened in their faith, challenged to move to the next level in
their spiritual walk, and guided into Christ's service and ministry to
fulfill your God-given spiritual gifts. The Disciple Study groups
are designed to develop strong local churches through the in-depth study
of Scripture, and can help transform our church into a more biblically
nourished congregation. for additional information, please
contact the church office at 269-3678 or email
