Night of Joy coming to Oakland! Night of Joy is fun and is a fundraising dinner theatre that will be coming to Oakland on Friday-Saturday, April 20th & 21st.  The Oakland drama team will present some of their funniest, gospel presenting, and thought provoking skits with some new additions.  The proceeds will support the upcoming mission trip to Joplin, Missouri.  You don't want to miss this night!  You may need to get ready by exercising your abs to prepare your stomach muscles to laugh the night away.  As we get closer to the event, be watching the bulletin for more details on ticket sales.  If you're interested in helping in any way with the dinner theatre you may contact the church office, or talk to Mike D'Angelo or Jim Bickford. OUMC Drama Team

Oakland UM has an excellent Drama Team who minister through the art of acting and visual presentation at Sunday morning worship services.  The messages portrayed range from serious to humorous and often "tie in" to the sermon presented that day.  The Drama Team led by Mike D'Angelo often uses props and costumes to assure a professional presentation with relevant meaning.  Actors range from small children to Senior Citizens as various roles call for various ages.  The Drama message helps worshipers relate God and the Christian message to the contemporary issues and problems we face today.  If you are interested in being considered for the Drama Team, please contact the church office at 269-3678 or email oumc@atlanticbb.net.
