Dance Ministry
Liturgical Dance Team
One of Oakland's newest ministries is the
Liturgical Dance Team. The OUMC team was formed after being
inspired by another local dance group called "Tapestry of Praise".
The Dance Team, led by Darlene Bain, perform at worship services
throughout the year and add to the movement of the Holy Spirit during
the services. This important part of worship has been well
received by those attending OUMC and have since inspired a new group to
be formed called "Little Praise Dancers". If you are interested in being considered

Little Praise Dancers
The Little Praise Dancers perform on
special occasions under the direction of Donna Cartwright. They
dance in costume and have a great time moving around to the music
chosen. If you have children who love to dance and would enjoy
being a part of the "Little Praise Dancers", please contact the
